What happens
Frank Seto, a swindler who has fled San Diego after a failed scheme, escapes a boxcar into Los Angeles and checks into a cheap hotel. He recognizes his former partner Wally Neil on a television quiz show and follows him. Frank lures Wally into a car, where their tense conversation about the stolen money and the danger of exposure unfolds. Frank later turns to Nora Larkin, who grows suspicious of him, and his plans to handle the money and his partners take a violent turn. The Whistler's narration frames Frank's growing paranoia as the story develops in this 1952 episode of The Whistler, first broadcast on March 16, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
