What happens

Lloyd Miller, a draftsman at Brewster Electronics, finds himself deep in debt after a run of gambling losses and an overdue rent bill. A gambler named Barzmann offers him a way out: photograph secret sketches of a Sonic Detection Device and sell them to an associate in San Francisco. Miller is torn between fear of the consequences and the pressure of his debts. As Friday approaches, he must decide whether to go through with the scheme, and the threat of Barzmann's retaliation hangs over him.

Los Angeles, at Brewster Electronics and in Miller's rooming house, during the week leading up to Monday.

Characters: Lloyd Miller, Barzmann, Mr. Collins, Parkman, Roberts, McVey

Listen for: Barzmann's offer to Miller and Miller's decision to go along with it.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
