What happens
Private investigator Johnny Selzer, under pressure from his boss Tom Silver, meets a wealthy woman named Alice Collins at the Golden Sparrow lounge. She offers him a lucrative job, and their acquaintance soon draws him into the orbit of gambler Frankie Benson. Johnny becomes entangled with Alice as her relationship with Benson grows tense. The Whistler series aired on 1949-06-12. Jack Webb and Doris Singleton are among the cast.
