What happens
Dr. Rourke, a doctor, is dying and asks to speak alone with his son, James Rourke, also a doctor. He tells the story of Tony Del Gano, a former public enemy, who escapes the police by traveling under the name David Delmas aboard a steamer. On board, Tony meets Sharon Phillips and recognizes Dr. Rourke, who once treated Tony's bullet wound and now knows his true identity. Tony pressures the doctor to keep silent, and the tension between the two men builds as the voyage continues. The episode is part of The Whistler series, first broadcast on October 17, 1954.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
