What happens

Jean Collins, a San Francisco woman, consults attorney John Bradley about a former companion, Frank Hardison, who is serving a prison sentence and who she believes is sending her money she does not want. Bradley agrees to help her. Soon after, a man named Joey Stark appears, claiming to be Frank's partner, and demands that Jean return the money and stop seeing Bradley. Jean grows frightened and insists on keeping her distance from Bradley while the threats mount. Stark's behaviour and the tension around Jean and Bradley drive the first part of the story forward.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
