What happens

The Whistler: Incident at Chalk Point, first broadcast April 21, 1955, follows Kay Fallon, a young secretary companion employed by Mrs. Jager at Jager House on the foggy northern California coast. Kay finds a half-drowned stranger on the beach, who claims to be a survivor of the schooner Star of Shanghai. The name matches the ship of Captain Yeager, lost at sea over 25 years earlier, and a photograph in Mrs. Yeager's album seems to show the same man. Kay begins to suspect that something strange is happening at the house, and she resolves to uncover the truth.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
