What happens

Anna Craig, newly married to lawyer Stanley Craig, is waiting for her final citizenship papers. Her marriage was a scheme to get her into the country quickly, and her former lover Kurt Lawson is waiting for her. When Lisa Felder, a woman from Anna's past, turns up at Stanley's office seeking help with an immigration problem, Anna becomes frightened that her own background will be exposed. The story follows Anna as her worries about Lisa and Stanley grow, and as she begins to consider drastic options. The episode is from The Whistler, first broadcast on August 24, 1952.

A hilltop home above the highway near Los Angeles, with views of Catalina Island; Stanley Craig's law office in town; a Beverly Hills restaurant.

Listen for: Stanley's remarks about the rare plants in his garden, and Professor Leonard's comments about them.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
