What happens
Doris Chandler, hearing on the radio that police have surrounded a cop killer named Steve Yeager in a Hollywood house, learns he has escaped and has come to find her. Yeager is the criminal who stole fifty thousand dollars in a Seattle payroll robbery, and that money is hidden in her apartment. Doris, who had tipped off the police, now drives Yeager away from the house. The Whistler series, with its episode of December 2, 1951, follows her frightened flight with the wounded fugitive through the night.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
