What happens

Lambert Dean returns to a construction company in Memphis at night to confront his old friend Joe Carson, the company's current head. The Whistler is a radio anthology series, and this episode, Deadly Innocent, aired on July 2, 1945. Its cast is not named in the transcript. Lambert begins by planting suspicion, first with a tampered pill bottle and then with a staged street accident, and he persuades the elderly Mr. Jennings that Joe has been stealing from the company.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
