What happens

Russell Benton, an actor hoping to win the lead in the film Dark Moon, has his screen test with producer Matt Ellsworth. Later he learns that Kathy, the woman he divorced, is Matt's wife and that she intends to block his casting. Benton visits her at her hillside home, where their confrontation leads to a violent act. He then arranges an alibi, hosting a party at his house while Matt returns from New York. The Whistler radio series is the source, and this episode aired on November 19, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
