What happens
Tarzan, Darno and Tobin face a ceremony in the Temple of Ma'achu, where the Artef Su-10 and his Council of 13 prepare to unveil the Father of Diamonds. Helen Gregory and Margaret are brought in to be married to Su-10 and Hakiru. Tarzan stops the ceremony and is ordered to fight a huge prehistoric ape, which he kills with a knife. Tira then seizes the diamond and claims power over Hesseherr, and the three men and the two women are taken to a stone tower on the edge of the city, where they are left to await her word.
The Temple of Ma'achu and the tower of the sun on the outskirts of A'Kiru, in the land of Hesseherr, a lost volcanic kingdom.
