What happens

Tarzan, the jungle man, watches from the high branches as a group of strangers lands on the African coast and comes ashore. Among them is Jane Porter, whose voice and manner set her apart in his eyes, and he feels a curiosity about her that overrides his instinct to drive the intruders away. The party, led by Professor Porter, meets Clayton and Cecil, and they debate where to shelter for the night, sharing a meal of canned beans, sausage and biscuits. They find an empty hut bearing a warning signed by Tarzan, and they decide to take possession of it. As dusk falls, Tarzan creeps closer to the lantern-lit hut, drawn by his interest in Jane.

The west coast of Africa, on a jungle beach and in a clearing where an abandoned hut stands near the forest.

Listen for: Tarzan's reaction to Jane's voice, and the warning notice on the hut door signed by Tarzan.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
