What happens
Tarzan travels to the African province of Lijago to meet the new British governor, Inglesby, whose plans for an animal sanctuary and a hotel anger the local natives. When a grenade is thrown at Inglesby's car, Captain Lawrence is blamed, and Tarzan sets out to uncover who is behind the attacks. The story is part of the Tarzan series, adapted from the novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs, and broadcast on June 5, 1952. Tarzan follows a trail of sabotage, a man with yellow eyes, and a voyage to Europe in search of the truth behind the accusations against Lawrence.
The African province of Lijago and the Lee Agal region, a ship voyage, and later Lisbon and London
Characters: Tarzan, Captain Lawrence, Inglesby, Sir Reginald
Listen for: The growing suspicion about the man with yellow eyes and the tense court-martial scene
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
