What happens
Tarzan rescues Stanley Ford, an American adventurer, from a lion in the northern jungle near the river Bugara. Ford explains he has come searching for Lord and Lady Kingsley, who vanished twenty years earlier in the forbidden land of Zoroka, and for his companion Bob Quinn, who is held there. Ford reveals that the queen of Zoroka, Lorena, may be the Kingsleys' daughter, and that the ruling Tasca rules through a great emerald. Tarzan agrees to help, but the pair are captured by the warrior women led by Gima and thrown into the palace dungeon, where they plan an escape through a hidden passage.
