What happens
Tarzan leads an expedition searching for the missing scientist Brian Gregory, accompanied by Gregory's sister Helen, his father, the hunters Wolf and Lawson, and Lieutenant Darnall. Atan Tom and his companion Magra follow the party, determined to obtain a map said to show the location of the Forbidden City. After Tarzan rescues Magra from a charging lion, the group gathers around the campfire and begins to question where Tarzan came from, and Lieutenant Darnall explains how Tarzan was raised by apes. The camp is then startled by the sound of an approaching stampede of elephants.
