What happens
Tarzan and Dan Dorry follow Tom and Wolf into the audience chamber of the temple of Ma'ar Chiu, where Wolf tries to pry open the golden disk covering a great diamond. A blinding light paralyzes the men, and Wolf is killed by a guardian ape. Back in their quarters, Tarzan and Dan Dorry find Margaret gone, along with Helen Gregory, and their rifles taken. Tarzan wants to search for them, but Dan Dorry reminds him that they would be caught. Later, Margaret is brought to a room in the temple, where she is reunited with Helen and the others, while Helen worries about her brother Brian. King Sutan then arrives and shows them something he expects will please them.
