What happens
Tarzan helps Captain Lawrence investigate the murder of Judge Harley Cartwright, his wife and two of their children, a killing that has shocked all of Africa. With no clues and no suspects, Tarzan goes undercover as a prisoner on Hangman's Island to learn what he can from the convicts there. He discovers that a prisoner escaped ten days before the murders. The manhunt for the escaped man, George Ross, spreads across the continent as more deaths follow in the jungle.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
