What happens

Jane Porter is captured by a group of warriors and dropped into a pit in the jungle, while Professor Porter, Clayton and Philander wait in a hut in the cannibal village with Baro Pona. Their friendly black ally Nakeeto has promised to return after dark with rifles. Tarzan, watching from the trees, sees Jane in the pit, but a call from him could expose her to the warriors. Tarzan's elephant friend Tantor arrives crashing through the brush and carries Tarzan down into the pit, where he lifts Jane to safety on the elephant's head. The party gathers to head back toward the tree platform as night falls over the jungle.

A cannibal village in the African jungle, with a hut, a hidden pit, and the trees near a tree platform as the sun sets.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
