What happens
Douglas Hanley, a young assistant curator at a city zoo, is pressured by his old friend Herbert Riggs into joining an expedition to Africa to capture wild animals for American zoos. Hanley refuses to take part, and Riggs threatens to ruin his career. Meanwhile, Tarzan, the jungle hero, tends an injured panther cub and argues with his young companion Torgo about the cruelty of hunters. Torgo, attached to a panther of his own, slips away from his village, and Tarzan follows his trail. The story is adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs and set in the Congo, with the Tarzan series' radio adaptation aired in 1951.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
