What happens

Tarzan learns that slave raiders are seizing young men from his friend Omu's tribe and shipping them away by sea. He plans to board the suspected slave ship and sets out to gather evidence, with a gold bag as bait. Posing as a passenger, John Clayton, the jungle lord's identity in this story, gets aboard the brigantine and finds a sealed hold, guards, and a mysterious second passenger. An artist named Smiley Nelson agrees to help by drawing the ship's interior as proof, and the plan quickly turns deadly. The story is part of the Tarzan radio series, based on the stories of Edgar Rice Burroughs, and was first broadcast on March 20, 1952.

The African coast and the open sea, including a native village and a brigantine used for slave trading.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
