What happens
Tarzan and Jane Porter return to the jungle after the ape ceremony, and Jane admits she is unsettled by what she has witnessed and by her growing feelings for Tarzan. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Don Ortega's men, under the pirate Snipes, are forced to dig for treasure while Professor Porter, excused from digging because of fever, watches. Tension rises when Snipes threatens the captives, and Starno, a prisoner, secretly arranges to meet King with information about where the treasure is hidden. Late at night, a stampede of elephants approaches the platform in the trees, and Tarzan and Jane must decide how to escape.
