What happens
Clayton, the Porter party, and Lieutenant Donald are stranded on the African coast after Jane Porter disappears into the jungle. Clayton is convinced that the ape man Tarzan has kidnapped her, while the others believe the local blacks are responsible. Clayton fires at a figure in the trees, and when Jane is reunited with Tarzan, she tries to explain the gunshot to him. Later, Clayton discovers that his diary has gone missing from the hut, and he suspects Tarzan took it. The party prepares to set out into the jungle at sunrise, leaving the hut door open while the sailors keep working through the night. Tarzan is part of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan series, and this episode is from the radio adaptation first aired on 1932-10-14.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
