What happens

Betty Willoughby, a poised and efficient wife, decides to kill her husband Herbert, a jovial man who constantly plays practical jokes. Her lover, Jack Holden, has been stealing from Herbert's company, and when Herbert plans to have him arrested, Betty pushes for a more drastic solution. Her scheme depends on Herbert's routine and on the timing of his train. Part of the episode is the first portion of Suspense's production of You Can Die Laughing, written by Robert Arthur, with Evelyn Juster and Larry Haynes named as its stars.

Listen for: Betty's calm narration explaining her reasons, and Herbert's constant, grating laughter

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
