What happens
Amy, a new secretary, arrives at the house of novelist Paul Gentry, who has been unable to write since his wife Isabel died in the guest cottage a year earlier, and whom local people suspect he killed. Gentry is volatile and unsettling, and Amy notices that she resembles Isabel. Jenny the cook and a local newspaperman, Al Pender, appear in the house, and Gentry's writing grows worse. Amy begins to take on Isabel's manner and appearance, and Gentry's behaviour grows increasingly strained. The series Suspense, first broadcast on January 11, 1951, stars Ginger Rogers with John Hoyt in this episode. The story continues beyond what is recorded here.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
