What happens

Joe Adcock, a gambler deep in debt, pawns his wife Molly's engagement ring and buys a strange antique watch that seems to control time. After he discovers it can turn back the calendar, he plans a bank robbery, but he must still face a midnight deadline from the men he owes. Frank Lovejoy stars in this 1958 episode of Suspense, first broadcast on December 28, 1958.

A city in late December 1958, including a dingy pawn shop, an apartment, a bar, and a bank.

Characters: Joe Adcock, Molly, Mr. Edgar, Harry

Listen for: The ticking and strange hum of the antique watch, and the sudden shift from a sunny day to snow when Joe changes its setting.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
