What happens
Margaret Bailey, a woman awaiting execution in the electric chair that evening, spends her last day in her apartment trying to keep her mind occupied. Her maid, Laura, chatters about the case and the public's doubts, while Margaret's thoughts keep returning to the hours remaining. A photograph in a newspaper, and Laura's reaction to it, begins to unsettle Margaret further. Set in the 1950s, this is the Suspense series, presented on radio with Kathy Lewis starring in this episode, first broadcast on March 27, 1956.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
