What happens

Sanger Rainsford, a hunter, is washed ashore on a remote island after his yacht wrecks on rocks. He is taken in by General Zaroff, a hospitable host who admires his book on hunting. Zaroff reveals that he hunts human beings on the island, shipwrecked sailors who are given a head start in the jungle. Rainsford refuses to take part at first, but Zaroff gives him a choice between being hunted and being handed over to his servant Ivan. Starring Joseph Cotton as Rainsford and J. Carrol Naish as Zaroff, this 1945 episode of the Suspense series aired on February 1, 1945.

A remote island with jungle, swamps and cliffs, and a stone castle belonging to General Zaroff.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
