What happens
Detective Lieutenant Gus Polatchik of Cleveland investigates a homicide after a skeleton is dug up from the cellar of an empty downtown building. The victim was hidden in a steamer trunk inside a packing case, and the clues left behind seem deliberately planted to mislead him. Polatchik traces the packing case to a box factory, then follows a string of witnesses and records across months of painstaking legwork. The broadcast is Suspense, an episode presented by AutoLite on the original air date of December 15, 1952, starring Lloyd Nolan. Lloyd Nolan stars as the detective.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
