What happens

Grace Laraby, a married woman, begins an affair with Peter Friendly, a man she meets at a lunch counter near the racetrack. Their plan to be rid of her husband, Albert, takes shape after they learn how much money he has invested in the stock market. Peter and Grace starring Joan Lorring and Leon Janney, from the Suspense series, first aired July 16, 1961, written for the program by Walter Black. The transcript breaks off before the story is complete, so the guide covers only the early plotting and the couple's first attempts.

A city with a subway, a lunch counter near a racetrack, and the Laraby home.

Characters: Grace Laraby, Albert Laraby, Peter Friendly

Listen for: Grace and Peter's scheme to get rid of Albert, and the couple's first attempts to carry it out.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
