What happens

Dan Varro arrives back in town after a prison term for a killing his brother Richie committed, and he meets Lois Williams, the woman whose testimony sent him away. Dan is drawn to his own revenge but instead offers Lois a partnership in a dress business, using money from the rackets to get it started. Police lieutenant Len Bush watches him closely, and tension rises as old acquaintances turn hostile. Lois begins to regain her spirit, but Dan's intentions remain uncertain. The transcript ends before the story's resolution.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
