What happens
Frank Lovejoy stars in this episode of Suspense, first broadcast on November 18, 1956. Tower controller Ken works the night shift at Rockford airport as fog and low clouds settle over the valley. A pilot named 457 radios in, lost after flying a new airplane he barely knows how to handle, and he has no instrument training. Ken must guide him by radio toward the airport before his fuel runs out, while the pilot's young son begins to panic. The clock is running as the controller works through each step of the rescue procedure.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
