What happens
Bob Lewis wakes in a hospital bed with no memory of how he got there, only to discover he is held in a mental asylum for the criminally insane. Nurse Amy Adams is kind to him, while Dr. Dunlap and Professor Bird treat him as a dangerous patient. Lewis is told he committed a murder he cannot remember, and that he must recall the events before he can leave. Set against the asylum's routines, his confusion and fear grow as he searches for the missing hours. This is the June 6, 1946 broadcast of the radio series Suspense, with Robert Young starring.
A mental hospital for the criminally insane in the United States, with its wards, solarium and a nearby motel, in the 1940s.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
