What happens

Lacey Abbott escapes from a psychiatric ward after two years and goes to see Martin Avery, a former business partner he blames for the death of his wife, Kate. Abbott has already strangled his lawyer, Nicholas Westland, and taken his clothes. In Avery's apartment, Abbott holds a gun on him and insists on talking about the past, while Avery's wife and young son sleep in the back of the flat. The episode is from the Suspense series, broadcast on January 19, 1950, and stars William Powell as Abbott, with John McIntyre as Avery.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
