What happens

Ozzy and Harriet Nelson are an ordinary couple celebrating their anniversary in New York when a stranger calling himself Mr. Diogenes approaches Ozzy and insists he is the honest man he has been seeking. Diogenes gives Ozzy a book to memorize overnight and a strange warning that his life is about to change. Ozzy soon finds that the free theatre tickets and fortune-card predictions around him seem connected to Diogenes. This is Suspense, an old-time radio drama presented by AutoLite, and the original air date is January 26, 1950. Joseph Kearns plays Mr. Diogenes.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
