What happens

Harry Sawyer, a war veteran recovering from battle fatigue, takes a job at a logging camp in the remote hills with his wife Sal. He soon sees the camp's boss Sam Bixby cause a fellow worker's death, but the inquest rules it an accident and Harry is left uncertain of what he saw. Suspense presents this tale on the Auto-Light program, with George Murphy starring as Harry and Charlotte Lawrence as Sal. The broadcast originally aired on May 26, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
