What happens
Wells Galloway, a wealthy man ruined by gambling and debt, confronts his law partner Red Tuttle at his lake cabin after Red admits to stealing estate bonds. A quarrel turns violent, and Wells shoots Red, then flees into the night. Seeking a fresh start, he returns to the city and approaches his estranged wife Leslie, who is in love with Norman Vale. The Suspense radio drama, broadcast on June 30, 1949, stars Joseph Cotton in the lead role, and this part of the story follows Wells as he tries to recover his position and his life.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
