What happens

Joe and Daphne Forsyth discuss savings bonds and singing lessons in a brief domestic scene. The main story follows Henry, a man returning home to his wife Jesse and newborn baby after the street is sealed off by police hunting a fugitive, Roy Jalaska, who has been hiding in a nearby boarding house. Henry is sent up to his apartment, where he finds Jesse sounding frightened, and he soon realizes Jalaska is inside with his family. The tense standoff between Henry and the armed fugitive unfolds in the apartment as police wait outside. The guide stops before the outcome. The episode is from the Suspense series, originally aired on June 15, 1958, and stars Dan O'Herlihy.

A modern American city block under police siege, centered on a boarding house and an apartment building next door, with a drugstore on the corner; a brief domestic scene in the Forsyths' home.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
