What happens

Suspense presents the Steel River Prison Break, first aired on September 3, 1951, and starring Jeff Chandler. Convicts Bragg and Lefty plan to escape from the Steel River prison by boat, but a flood warning forces them to move up their timetable. The prisoners wait for the rising waters while a guard is caught in a tense standoff. Bragg, who was raised nearby, leads the men toward his old neighborhood, where the flood has left the town in disorder. The story follows the fugitives as they hunt for shelter, supplies and a way out.

Listen for: The flood warnings on the radio that force the prisoners to change their plans, and the shifting loyalties among the escapees.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
