What happens
Agnes Moorehead plays an invalid woman, Mrs. Stevenson, who lies alone in her house while her husband works late. Trying to reach him by telephone, she keeps getting connected to a wrong number and overhears two men plotting a murder at a house near a bridge at 11:15 that night. Frantic and unable to convince anyone to act quickly, she calls the operator, the police and a nurses' registry, growing more anxious as the minutes pass. This is an episode of the CBS radio series Suspense, first broadcast in 1960 and starring Agnes Moorehead. The story is adapted from Lucille Fletcher's radio play Sorry, Wrong Number.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
