The episode is an installment of the Suspense series, first broadcast on January 4, 1954, starring Frank Lovejoy.

Long Island, New York, on a rainy night in the woods along a lonely country road

Characters: David, Dorothy, Nellie Gulla

Listen for: The radio newscast about the escaped woman, and the moment David and Dorothy hear something moving outside their stranded car.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
