What happens
David and Dorothy drive home on a country road in Long Island as a storm builds, after a radio warning that an escaped, dangerous woman named Nellie Goller is loose after killing a doctor and a nurse. Taking a shortcut to avoid traffic, they run out of gas on a deserted stretch of road. Dorothy grows increasingly frightened as the dark woods press in around them. The story is a Suspense radio play starring Cary Grant, first broadcast on November 16, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
