What happens

During the Korean War, United States Navy minesweepers struggle to clear mines from the approaches to Wonsan Harbor so that a large fleet of ships and troops can land. Commander Spofford leads the operation, and an airborne counter-mining attempt fails to clear the water. A young sailor volunteers to swim toward shore, where he meets Korean fishermen who offer little help. The commander then searches for a sampan skipper who knows about the mine-laying, traveling through hostile territory with a Korean interpreter. The series Suspense aired this story on November 9, 1953, and William Holden stars.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
