What happens

Suspense presents My Wife Geraldine, starring Edward G. Robinson, broadcast on March 1, 1945. A man named Mr. Graham is visited in his room by Miss Barton, who is a landlady and boarder. He is suspected of being the Black Widow, a man who marries women and then kills them. Mr. Graham begins to tell Miss Barton the story of his life and of his wife Geraldine, whom he describes in detail. The early part of the broadcast follows his commuting, his job, and his decision to rent an apartment with Miss Barton while the police keep watch outside.

A house surrounded by police, and earlier a commuter train, an office, and an apartment in the city

Characters: Mr. Graham, Miss Barton, Mr. Potter, Holmes, Jackson, Smith, Fuller, Harry

Listen for: Mr. Graham's account of Geraldine and the interview with Miss Barton as the suspicion against him grows

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
