What happens

Cliff Gough, a newly hired bank employee, sets out to steal a hundred thousand dollars from his employer. He courts Anita Willoughby, a clerk who works in the same bank, and they begin to plan a theft that would let them escape abroad together. Alan Baxter stars in this episode of the radio drama Suspense, which first aired on July 3, 1947. The plan takes shape through conversations about the bank's routines, and Cliff sets about carrying it out, with Anita's cooperation and under growing strain as the day approaches.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
