What happens
Lacey Abbott, who has just escaped from a psychopathic ward at Bellevue, arrives at the home of Martin Avery, a man who testified against him two years earlier. Abbott holds Avery at gunpoint in his study while Avery's wife and young son sleep in the back bedroom. Abbott presses Avery with questions about Kate, a woman who disappeared, and he forces Avery to confront what happened to her. The tense confrontation unfolds as Abbott alternates between menace and a strange, almost conversational tone, keeping Avery off balance throughout the night. Suspense is presented as a CBS radio drama, and the lead actor is Myron McCormick.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
