What happens

Peg Lincoln, an insurance investigator, boards a flight to Capital City after buying a ticket meant for another passenger, Kate Nordlinger. Grant Benton, a charming man seated beside her, becomes suspicious when she falls ill after the flight, and she begins to doubt his intentions. Peg receives an unopened telegram, a message that seems to link the flight with a woman who later dies, and she pieces together odd details about the hotel and the strange events that follow. Her suspicions grow as she tries to make sense of what she has seen and heard. The episode is part of the Suspense series, a radio drama anthology, and stars Loretta Young as Peg Lincoln with Larry Dobkin as Grant Benton. The episode aired on March 2, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
