What happens
Henry and Betsy Doyle, an ordinary suburban couple, find a glowing saucer-shaped craft in their backyard after a storm. Their eight-year-old son Dickie watches as neighbors and then police gather at the house. Henry, who has long dreamed of adventure, refuses to let officials take the craft, insisting it is his property. Soon soldiers, federal agents and officers surround the home, and the Doyles find themselves at the center of a national standoff. This is a 1955 episode of the radio drama Suspense, first broadcast on October 11, 1955. The cast includes Tru Demarsen and Hayabarback in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
