What happens

Pete and Louise welcome Butch Bailey, a Korean War buddy of Pete's, into their home after he has fallen on hard times. Butch is grateful at first and gets along well with their young son. Soon, however, Louise becomes uneasy after Butch watches her brushing her hair, and she begins to suspect that his interest in her is unhealthy. Pete is inclined to trust his old friend, and the tension between the household members grows. The story is part of the Suspense radio series, first broadcast on May 17, 1959, and stars Frank Lovejoy.

A suburban house in the United States in the late 1950s, where Pete and Louise live with their young son.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
