What happens

Rachel Turner, a painter, wakes in a hospital unable to recall the past months, and is cared for by her companion Miss Briggs and the psychologist Dr. Grace. Her paintings have grown disturbing, and a shopkeeper named Mr. Putney has been speaking to her about a man whose face is missing from each of her canvases. Rachel is frightened of what she may have done and begs to be left in her forgotten state. Dr. Grace presses her to recall the events surrounding her birthday on April 16th, and she begins to remember a train journey. The episode is from the CBS series Suspense, first broadcast on November 17, 1952, starring Agnes Morehead.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
