What happens
Ernest Powers suffers from catalepsy, a nerve disorder that can make him appear dead, so he carries a note asking that he not be embalmed or autopsied for 72 hours. After Dennis Powers is struck at a Los Angeles intersection, his bracelet and jacket are scattered. Two boys melt down the silver chain, and the jacket is sold to a secondhand dealer. Honest Jerry Murdoch then sells the jacket to Harry, whose wife Frances urges him to find the owner. Meanwhile, at the morgue, the embalmers prepare the body. Suspense is the CBS radio drama series, and this episode stars Wally Mayer, with the program presented by Roma Wines.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
